Cohort: 26 pupils. The report shows that writing at the expected standard, GPS at the higher standard and science were above the corresponding national figures, while reading, mathematics and combined attainment were lower.

The statutory report places the school's GLD outcome at the 71st percentile.
Understanding Our Outcomes
The 2025/26 outcomes show a mixed picture rather than uniformly weak achievement.
There are clear strengths. EYFS outcomes were above the estimated national figures, multiplication fluency was particularly strong, writing at Key Stage 2 was above national at the expected standard, GPS higher-standard attainment was strong and science was above national.
However, Key Stage 2 reading and mathematics remain the significant areas for improvement. Both were 62% at the expected standard compared with 75% nationally, and this contributed to combined Reading, Writing and Mathematics attainment of 46% compared with 63% nationally.
This evidence directly informs our current school improvement priorities. We are focusing on securing prerequisite knowledge, strengthening pupils' retention and application of learning, and ensuring teaching responds precisely when pupils begin to fall behind.
Assessment is not simply used to produce data. We use it to answer the more important question: what do pupils need to learn next, and what needs to change in teaching for them to succeed?

Ofsted and Performance Data
Ofsted Report
Brierley Hill Primary School was inspected by Ofsted in March 2025. The inspection recognised the significant changes that have taken place in the school and the strengthened leadership that is driving improvement.
Inspectors highlighted the higher expectations now in place for learning, behaviour and attendance, and noted that pupils are responding positively. The report also recognises the work being done to strengthen the curriculum and support pupils to catch up with previously missed learning.
Importantly, the inspection confirmed that safeguarding arrangements at the school are effective, and that leaders and governors are committed to improving the school further.
We are proud of the progress that has already been made and remain focused on continuing to strengthen teaching, learning and attendance so that every pupil achieves their very best.
