Responsibilities and Conduct On-Site
We warmly welcome visitors to Brierley Hill Primary School. To ensure the safety, wellbeing and smooth running of the school, all visitors are expected to follow the guidance below while on site.
Arriving and Departing the School Site
All visitors must report to the main reception office on arrival.
Please bring proof of identification and any relevant documentation for your visit.
When you arrive, you will be asked to sign in using the Inventry electronic visitor system located in the main foyer. You will be required to provide:
• Your name
• The organisation you represent (if applicable)
• The purpose of your visit
All visitors must also sign out using the Inventry system before leaving the building.
If you have any questions about your visit, please contact the school office prior to arrival or speak to a member of the team when you arrive.
Conduct on Site
To help maintain a safe and respectful environment, visitors are expected to:
• Treat all members of the school community with respect
• Follow any safeguarding instructions provided by staff
• Remain accompanied by a member of staff where safeguarding checks have not been completed
• Avoid taking photographs of pupils unless authorised by a member of staff
• Ensure that if working with a pupil individually, doors remain open and the activity is visible to others
These measures are in place to safeguard both pupils and visitors.
Disabled Visitors and Parking
If you require additional support while visiting the school, please inform the school office before or upon arrival so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
A designated disabled parking bay is available for badge holders.
Please ensure that the school driveway and delivery/collection areas remain clear at all times.
Valuables
Visitors are responsible for the security of their own personal belongings while on the school site.
Mobile Phones
To support safeguarding and minimise disruption, mobile phones should not be used inside the school building unless permission has been given by a member of staff.
Staff may politely remind visitors of this expectation if phones are used.
